Dear members of Ann-Hua Association,
Thank you for your participation in the board member election for Ann-Hua Association (“Ann-Hua”). The voting period ended on January 30, 2022. We are pleased to announce the voting results.
63.3% of eligible members casted their votes for the board candidates, which meets the quorum (25%) of the election. The supporting rates for the 5 candidates are Jiang Hu 90%, Baihua He 88%, Fansheng Meng 86%, Zhongrui Li 82% and Yi Sun 78%. All 5 candidates are elected and will join 2022 Ann-Hua Board of Directors.
Ann-Hua thanks all of you for your continuous support. The Board of Directors also would like to thank all the members of 2022 Election Committee for their hard work. Please join us in welcoming our 5 new board members, and wishing Ann-Hua a great year ahead.

Board Member Candidates 候选人介绍
I am Baihua He, graduated from Hunan Normal University with a major in Chinese Language and Literature. I have been engaged in education in China, teaching in middle school, high school and college. I came to Ann Arbor in 2006 and started teaching at Canton Chinese School in 2007. I came to Ann-Hua Chinese School in 2012 and taught Chinese in Jinan University’s version of textbooks and Ma Liping’s version of textbooks, and also initiated Wang Shuangshuang experimental class.
I love the sacred profession of teachers, and I admire the Directors of the Board and presidents of the Ann-Hua community who provide this stage for our teachers and children. I also hope to participate in it and do something for our Chinese community, which prompted me to decide to run for the Board Director of the Ann-Hua Association. As a teacher representative, we put forward our teacher group’s suggestions for the school and Ann-Hua community, so that the Ann-Hua Board of Directors’ decisions can be understood and supported by the teachers. I work hard, I am good at learning new knowledge and new skills, and I have the courage to constantly challenge myself and constantly improve myself. I will also use this earnestness and hard work to serve the Ann-Hua community. I hope everyone will give me such an opportunity.毕业于湖南师范大学汉语言文学专业，在中国一直从事教育事业，教过初中，高中，师范。2006年来安娜堡，2007年开始在凯通中文学校教书，2012年来安华中文学校，教过暨南大学教材和 马力平教材，还开设了王双双实验班。
我爱教师这个神圣的职业，更欣赏为我们老师和孩子提供这个舞台的安华社区各任董事和会长们，我也希望参与其中为我们华人社区做点事情, 这促使我决定参选安华协会的董事。作为老师代表, 提出我们老师群体对学校和安华社区的建议, 也让安华董事会的决义能够得到老师们的理解和支持。
我工作认真，善于学习新知识，新技能，勇于不断地挑战自我；不断提升自己。我同样也会把这份认真和努力用在为安华社区的服务上。 希望大家给我这样的机会。
My name is Jiang Hu. I have been the captain of the Ann-Hua Lion Dance Team in the past few years and have participated in community performances many times. In the past two years, as one of the school committee members of Ann-Hua Chinese School, I have been in charge of student teaching assistants and student volunteer work. I am applying to join Ann-Hua’s board of directors, hoping that our dedication can help our next generation to better inherit Chinese culture and enable Ann-Hua to have a wider scope of social influence in the community.
我是胡江，过去几年在安华舞狮队做队长， 多次参与社区表演活动。最近两年作为安华中文学校校委，负责学生助教和学生志愿者工作。我申请加入安华董事会，希望我们的付出能帮助我们的下一代更好地传承中华文化，能让安华有更大的社区影响力。
This is Zhongrui Li, and I have been a volunteer in Ann-Hua’s various activities since 2014. From 2014 to 2019, I served in Ann-Hua Chinese School as one of the school committee members and vice principal for five years. I was responsible for the external communication, internal organization, logistics service and teacher recruitment of Ann-Hua Chinese School. I also coordinated the Ann-Hua Chinese School soccer team. I won the National Chinese School Outstanding Contribution Award from 2015 to 2016. I am applying to join the Ann-Hua board of directors this time, and I am willing to continue serving the Ann-Hua community as a volunteer. I hope to do my best, use my enthusiasm and experience to better serve the community and help more community members!
我是李忠瑞，自2014年长期作为志愿者参加安华的各项活动。从2014年至2019年在安华中文学校服务，担任校委会和副校长五年，负责安华中文学校对外联络、对内组织、后勤服务和老师招聘，并且组织过安华中文学校足球队。曽获2015年至2016年全美中文学校杰出贡献奖。本人此次申请加入董事会，愿意继续作为志愿者服务安华社区。希望尽自所能，用热情和经验更好地反馈社区，帮助更多的社区成员！
My name is Fansheng Meng, and I started to know Ann-Hua as the parent of an Ann-Hua student. I have two children, both of whom were or are learning in Ann-Hua. Later, I joined the Ann-Hua school committee and worked for Ann-Hua with other volunteers. Later on, after the establishment of the Ann-Hua Association, because of my personal professional background, I once served as the head of Ann-Hua’s IT department. Later, due to personal family and work reasons, I left Ann-Hua for two years. But I have been closely observing Ann-Hua’s growth. During the years when I worked for Ann-Hua, I have personally felt the unremitting efforts made by volunteers for Ann-Hua’s growth. I now hope to rejoin the Ann-Hua family. According to my understanding, regardless of whether you are in the board of directors or the executive committee, although the specific tasks are different, we are all volunteers, contributing what we can to Ann-Hua’s family.
我叫孟繁盛，从一个安华学生父母的身份开始接触安华的。我有两个小孩，都是曾经或正在安华学习着。后来加入安华校委会，和其他志愿者一起为安华工作。后来安华协会成立后，因为个人专业，曾经担任过安华IT部门的部长。 后来因为个人家庭以及工作原因，离开了安华有两年时间。 但是我一直在关注着安华的成长。 在我为安华工作的那几年，我曾切身感受过安华志愿者为安华成长做出的不懈努力。 我现在希望能够重新加入到安华这个大家庭。根据我的理解，不管在董事会或者执行机构，虽然具体工作不一样，但是都是作为一名志愿者，为安华这个大家庭贡献自己力所能及的力量。
Dear Ann-Hua Association members, this is Yi Sun. I joined the Ann Arbor community in 2019 and have been a Michigan resident since early 2000. In the early years when we settled in Michigan, I volunteered as a Chinese and Math teacher at the MSU Chinese School for middle school, high school, and elementary school students for over 5 years. Having worked in university, public and private sectors, I have the pleasure to work with different organizations by size through different challenges, and a wide range of diversified groups to achieve common goals. I would like to join the Ann-Hua Associate Board to collaborate on ways to grow Ann-Hua’s position in the community and continue to provide representation for and services to the members and communities.
亲爱的安华协会会员们，我是孙毅。我从 2000 年初开始成为密西根州居民，并于 2019 年加入安娜堡社区。 在我们定居密西根州的早期，我曾在密西根州立大学（MSU）中文学校做过5年多的志愿者，为初中、高中和小学的学生们教授中文和数学。我曾经在大学、公共部门和私营部门工作过。有幸与不同规模的、以及广泛的多元化群体的组织和公司一起工作，经历不同的挑战来实现共同的目标。我申请加入安华协会董事会，和大家共同探讨如何促使安华不断成长并提升安华在社区中的地位和认可度，并继续做为成员和社区的代表为大家提供更好的服务。

Dear parents, teachers, students and friends:
As the new year approaches, it ushers Ann-Hua Association’s annual Board Member Election. During this election, we will elect no less than 4 new board members from a pool of candidates to replace 4 board members whose terms are expiring.
On November 15, 2021, the Board of Directors established a Board Election Committee (“Election Committee”) and authorized the Election Committee to organize the 2022 board election in accordance with the “Ann-Hua Association Board Election Rules” and “2021-22 Academic Year Ann-Hua Association Board Member Election Schedule ” . In accordance with the relevant provisions of Ann-Hua Bylaw, the members of the 2022 Election Committee are composed of: Jing Yang, Bing Luo, Zhaohui Fan, Limai Ren, Xiaoli Zhang, Chuanbing Rong, Yuan Wang, Guan Wang, Rong Wu, Yao Fu, Yingmin Li.
Qualifications to be Ann-Hua member and board director candidate:
1) To be a member of Ann-Hua Association: any resident living in Washtenaw and surrounding seven counties (Wayne, Oakland, Livingston, Ingham, Jackson, Lenawee, Monroe) aged 18 and above who agree and abide by the Ann-Hua Bylaws can become Ann-Hua members. The Record Date of the election is December 20, 2021. Members registered prior to the Record Date are entitled to vote. 2) To be a candidate for board director: Members who are familiar with Ann-Hua’s various activities (having volunteered for Ann-Hua’s departments/programs or organized Ann-Hua activities for the duration of at least one year) can register as candidates for Ann-Hua’s board director in 2022.
We welcome those who are willing to serve Ann-Hua and the Chinese community to register for the election. Candidates registration period is between December 1, 2021 and December 29, 2021. The online voting will open from December 31, 2021 to January 30, 2022 and election results will be announced on February 6, 2022.
