关于会员
All Members of Ann-Hua Association must:
- be 18-years or older 至少年满18周岁
- live in Washtenaw and surrounding seven counties (Wayne, Oakland, Livingston, Ingham, Jackson, Lenawee, Monroe), Michigan 居住在密西根州 Washtenaw 及周边七个郡 (Wayne, Oakland, Livingston, Ingham, Jackson, Lenawee, Monroe)
- agree and comply with the Bylaws of Ann-Hua Association 同意并遵守安华章程
安华协会会员与安华中文学校家长是两个独立的、互相没有关联性的群体。2018年章程修改扩大会员范围至整个社区，取代了以前仅限于安华中文学校家长的限制。在中文学校注册的家庭，不会自动成为安华协会的会员，而需要通过会员注册流程方可成为会员。反之，安华协会会员不是必须参加安华中文学校的课程。
The Membership of the Ann-Hua Association at large and students (and their families) registered with the Ann-Hua Chinese School form two independent groups of individuals without any correlation. In 2018, the Bylaws amendment expanded the eligibility of Ann-Hua Association membership to all residents in the counties served by the Ann-Hua Association so as to serve adults including but not limited to parents of enrolled students at the Ann-Hua Chinese School. Registration at Ann-Hua Chinese School does not automatically grant the student or the parent membership with the Ann-Hua Association, and conversely, there is no requirement for a Member of the Ann-Hua Association to enroll or participate in the offerings by the Ann-Hua Chinese School.
目前注册会员不需要缴纳会员费。但是根据章程规定，董事会有权建立会费（一次性或年费）制度。
There is no membership fee currently. However, the Bylaws permit the establishment of initial and annual dues by the Board in the future.
一个家庭可以有多名会员注册，且人数没有上限。每一位会员需要独立注册，并满足会员条件。
Each household may have multiple members, without an upper limit. Each eligible member from the same household must register independently and maintain his or her individual account.
目前安华会员没有终止期限。会员可以自愿终止会员身份，或根据章程规定，董事会可在特定情况决定终止某会员身份。
The membership in the current form does not expire, based on our current Bylaws. Any Member may relinquish the membership by sending a written notice to the Board. The Board of Directors reserves the right to suspend or terminate someone’s membership in accordance with the Bylaws.
会员应：
- 参加年度会员大会；
- 参加董事会组织的投票活动；
- 40%以上的会员书面要求下，可以召开特别大会。
The Members are expect to
- Attend the annual membership meeting in person or by proxy.
- Participate in all voting events organized by the Board, in person or by proxy.
- Special meetings can be called at the written request of not less than forty percent (40%) of the Members.
About Voting
关于投票
- 每位会员每次投票拥有平等的一票
- 每一次投票，董事会根据需要可以规定“记录日”，用来确定可以参加投票的会员名单。记录日应在投票开始前的10-60天范围以内。记录日后注册的新会员不得参与本次投票，但可以参加未来的投票活动。
- Each Member is entitled to one vote on each matter submitted to a vote
- The Board of Directors may designate in advance a record date for the purpose of determining Members entitled to notice of and to vote. The record date shall be within 10-60 days before the initial date of the voting. Members registered after the record date cannot vote for this event, but can vote for the future events.

Membership registration requires the use of real names, in order to make sure our voting processes and voting results are legal. Please refer to our privacy policy for more info.
除非特殊情况需要，投票的法定人数一般为“记录日”会员总数的25%，即参加投票的会员至少为“记录日”会员的25%。
Unless a greater or lesser quorum is required by statute, Members present in person or by proxy who, as of the record date, represented twenty-five percent (25%) of the Members entitled to vote at a membership meeting shall constitute a quorum at the meeting
董事选举根据得票率排名依次当选。对除董事选举外的事项进行投票，一般采取简单多数原则； 特殊情况下，董事会可以通过决议要求某次投票采用更高的通过率。
Directors shall be elected by a plurality of votes cast at any election. When an action, other than the election of directors, is to be taken by a vote of the Members, it shall be authorized by a majority of the votes cast by the Members entitled to vote, unless a greater vote is required by the Bylaws or the decision of the Board.
